"Old Men" (Mature or, 40 or 20 or what ever fits) who get together to

play music for themselves and family and friends.  I don’t know the rules if any "youngsters" should try to join. In fact, I don't even know of any rules.
Mom’s are welcome, too.

Over the past 5-6 years I have tried to establish a place where regular,

just for fun players, and/or singers, (altho expert and/or professionals are certainly welcome) or just plain folk, could go to play and/or hear music,

mostly country, gospel, bluegrass, blues, folk, etc. I haven’t been very

successful, but I have met a few people with the same desire.

If you play an instrument and/or sing and would like to join with other

OMOMS (Old Men Of the Mountains) to do a little “Kitchen Jammin’“,

fill in the form below. Make sure I have at least your name, town/state,
what instruments you play, and, of course, your email address. Only
members of the list will get the list, so no one will bug you by phone
or mail, or even know where you are, unless you chose.

This is an informal group connected only by email and the love
of country/gospel/folk/etc music and does not require any
formal skills at playing and/or singing. In other words,

you don't have to be good, but if you're bad,

... please, have m-e-r-c-y.

We hope to offer “mature” people a chance to enjoy fellowship

and fun, without any judgmentalism (??!! What ever that is).

Remember the 4 F’s… fellowship, fun and fine music.

If you know of anyone who might fit this description, pass this

address on to them. The e-mail list will be sent periodically to all

members, who will then let you know if any musical things that meet

our uncritical  guidelines are planned or projected, or when someone

is offering their basement, kitchen or garage for a musical get together

of some sort.  They will let you know whether to bring refreshments or not.

  Generally, we suggest, no alcohol.

This is a way for you to let people in your area/state/city know that you

want to get together to do a little music.  I’ll try to keep the email list

up to date, but you’ll have to do the inviting.

Keep on pickin’ and smilin’

If you know of any musical presentations that do not fit the
bill as Kitchen Jammin', but that might be of interest, such as
at area churches or fund raising project for worthy causes,
please let me know. We have a page set up to list them.
Also, is it opportunity to perform or just for listening?
